On January 10th 2018, Officine Panerai opened the doors of their latest stand alone boutique in London. Located on 30 New Bond Street, this is the first stand alone boutique in the United Kingdom. It is also the second largest boutique in all of Europe after the flagship store located in Florence.
“I am very pleased to announce the opening of our
first UK boutique in London. We have been waiting
for this moment for a long time and it is a way for
us to show our confidence in the future of a market
which is really important to us” said Angelo Bonati,
Officine Panerai CEO.
As with the wave of new boutiques and remodels that Panerai has been doing, this boutique was designed by celebrated architect Patricia Urquiola. This boutique spans over two floors and allows the clients to be fully submersed in the Panerai experience and lifestyle. The boutique also has the luxury of a full time in-house watch maker based in the London location.
To celebrate the opening of the modernized boutique , Officine Panerai teamed up with Sotheby’s to auction off a 1/1 Bronzo with brown dial that we reported on here. The Luminro Submersible in Bronze generated an incredible total of 75,000 British Pounds which is roughly 104,000 USD. Of course all of the proceeds will be donated to OnBoard, a charity program by the Royal Yachting Association.
The OnBoard program provides equal access for young people from all social and economic backgrounds around Britain and helps encourage personal development through sport.
