Panerai fans were given a taste of some real hand crafted work last year with the introduction of the PAM604 Firenze edition which featured a hand engraved Radiomir Case. Continuing with the hand etched versions, Officine Panerai has released the PAM672 Firenze Special Edition.
The newer version of the Firenze model is limited to only 99 units as well and is only available at the Florence boutique to it’s most loyal clients. The work that is carried out on these models takes over one week of work by master engravers. At first glance, the two models share a lot of similarities, they both share the same 47mm case with the same florentine motif.
The differences on the PAM672 start with the sandwich dial that features a lily above the Firenze engraved on the black satin solei dial. The lily which is found on the front as well as laser engraved on the movement is a symol of the Tuscan capital since the end of the 11th century.
The next difference is seen when you turn the watch around and see an unreleased version of the hand-wound P.3000 movement. The new P.3000/F version features finely laser engraved Florentine motifs similar to the ones on the decorated case. This engraving flows beautifully from front to back creating a harmonious design on the this Radiomir case.
